Online Game Rental - Frequently Asked Questions

• How does the free trial work?

  Your membership begins as soon as you create and activate your account. Once you place games in My GameQ, the first two available titles are immediately shipped to you. It's that quick and easy!
  
  A valid credit card is required for all memberships, including the free trial (NOTE: If you choose the 10-day free trial, your credit card will not be charged if you cancel prior to the end of the trial period. Otherwise, your card will be charged the monthly plan rate.). As part of the membership registration process an authorization is performed against your credit card. This authorization fee is only temporary and is necessary to make sure that sufficient funds are available if you choose to become a paying member.
  
  

• What is My GameQ?

  My GameQ is your list of which games you want to rent, and in what order. It also shows which games you currently have out.
  
  

• Can I reserve a game before it has been released?

  You certainly can by putting future releases in your GameQ ahead of time to ensure that you are higher on the list of priority when the game is released.
  
  

• What game systems do you have games for?

  Games are available for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance and PSP.
  
  

• What condition are the game discs in?

  All rental discs are inspected each time they are returned to ensure that they are in good condition. If they appear to be unplayable, they are discarded.
  
  Pre-played games available for purchase are cleaned and polished before being shipped. All purchased games come with the original case and manuals. If for any reason a game does not work, you will receive either a replacement or a full refund.
  
  

• How long will it take to receive my games?

  Once your membership is active, your first available game or games (depending on which plan you signed up for) are immediately shipped.
  
  Games ship from one of four strategically located shipping centers in Los Angeles, CA, Pittsburgh, PA, Tampa, FL and Austin, TX, via the US Postal Service first class mail. Shipping time on average to anywhere in the US is between 2 to 4 days.
  
  

• Does a 2-disc game count as 1 rental or 2?

  A 2-disc game counts as only one rental. You’ll receive both discs in a special double-sleeve in one mailer.
  
  

• Will I have to pay for a game that gets lost in the mail?

  Members are not held responsible for a game that has been lost or delayed in the mail.
  
  

• Is this service available outside of the U.S.?

  This service is available to members that reside in the United States and the District of Columbia, or that have an APO/FPO military address. Service is not currently offered to Canada, U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico or any other international locations.
  
  

• What are the Parental Controls and how do they work?

  The Parental Controls feature is a wonderful tool if you have children at home. Once you activate the Parental Controls feature on your account, parents have the ability to block game rentals and user submitted reviews based on the ESRB rating. This feature also allows parents to block PSP and Game Boy Advance movie rentals based on the MPAA rating.
  
  

• How does "Keep It" work?

  When you like a game so much that you don't want to return it, you don't have to - just Keep It! All you have to do is go into your account and choose the Keep It option. You’ll pay a low pre-played game price and the shipping for the case and manual, which you’ll receive within 5 business days, is free!
